Tales from Blackwood. A collection of short stories published in Blackwood Edinburgh Magazine, Scotland in the mid-19th Century. The stories were later were compiled and bound into books like these. A complete set would be around twelve books. Published by Bernard Tauchnitz, Leopzig in a handsome half-leather binding. Copyright 1880. There is attractive marbling on the foredge. The pages are mostly white with occasional foxing. There is heavier foxing in the very back last pages. The last page of one book is torn out from the story, The Secret Chamber (pictured).
