A French miniature hand painted portrait of an aristocratic woman in an ornate gilt metal frame with a ribbon bow crown. The portrait is in the style of Marie Antoinette though we do not know if this is the inspiration. She has beautiful pink roses adorned in her hair with blue ribbon. The art is initialed near the lower right corner. Time period, likely late 18th century or early 19th century. Please see the back of the frame. There is no hanging hardware and the green cloth backing is not present with paper board present. There is protective glass over the painting. Frame size: 2 7/8 x 3 1/2".
