A decorative antique hand painted Rouen style jardiniere. This sits atop a separate gold stand and has filigree on the upper rim. It has a French style marking on the base with the Faience style hand painted art on all sides. There interior is white ceramic with a small hairline crack along the upper inside edge (pictured). The crack faintly goes through the outer edge above a handle and is barely visible under the filigree rim. There is a crackle in the glaze on the inside of the planter. There are two small rubbed areas or chips in the glaze around one handle. The colors include blue, red, yellow and green. Dimensions without the gold base: 9 x 5.25 x 7". The gold base is 1 inch tall. Provenance: likely France.
