The cover is gilded with darkening along the upper edge and corner. The lower cover corner is crushed. There is a blemish on the cover with a small puncture hole near the lower-center cover edge. The title is difficult to read on the backstrip. there is darkening on the back cover. There is pencil markings on the pre-title or free-fly pages. There are lightly pressed marks on the title page. The frontispiece is beautiful in black and white and pictured. The pages are clean until the page pages at 215 where there is a blue crayon style mark and heavy pencil on page 216 and the endpages. 216 pages, 7 1/4".
