A French bronze and enamel jewel box with a miniature painting of two women set in the center. The box is designed in romantique French style, set with four specifically designed corners on the lid. There is enameled pink cloth on the lid and the center painting is signed. It has a wood interior in good condition. The hinge is tight and good. The wood burn press on the inside indicates this may have been imported by a high-end department store in Chicago, Blum-Vogue in the early 1900’s. There is a small dent the back edge above the hinge.
