A 19th century coromandel wood tea box with appropriate accents from the mid to late 19th century. The box has beautiful wood with a slight dome top. There is etched decoration on the brass. The key pictured is included. The key is decorative and not a working key. The box has two compartments inside with the original wood lids. There is beautiful lacquered wood inside the lid. The original nails inside the box to hold the compartment lid, but those nails are only present on one side. There is a brass knob missing on the lid at the lower right corner. There is surface patina and rubbed areas due to age on the top and sides of the box (see pictures). The hinge is solid and holds tightly. Dimensions: 8.75 x 5 x 5".
