A hand colored engraved reproduction of The Red Boy. A portrait of Master Charles William Lambton by Sir Thomas Lawrence. Comissioned by the young boy’s grandfather around 1825. The high quality engraving was hand colored in areas to embellish the color. The artist or someone else added the boy’s name, “Master Lambton” in the lower right corner and “by Lawrence” in the lower left corner. There is moisture stain on the paper on the lower center edge and lower right edge. The wood frame appears to have a hand carved design with gilt edges. There is frame missing on the upper right and lower right corners. This is ready to hang with installed wire. All edges of the frame are good, in used condition. The glass is good. Please see photos.
