Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, 1900

An antique edition of Tale of Two Cities and Sketches by Boz by Charles Dickens. Published around 1900 by International Book Company, NY (no date)**. The cover is an olive green cloth with black decoration including fern leaves. There is a gilt title block and the backstrip base reads, The Columbus Edition. There is a brown soil spot below the title block and some streaks of soiling near the backstrip base. There is shelf wear and cloth fraying along the lower backstrip. The endpages are white and good. The pages of this book are heavily tanned and somewhat fragile. The page should be handled with extra care. There is a brown soil spot on page 123 and there is a small chip on the edge of the Preface page. There are occasional penciled "x" in the margin. The last few pages have rougher edges. Size: 7.5", 817 pages.
